The Friendly's 5 dollar menu deal
I stopped over at Friendly's for lunch as a treat. They had the new $5 lunch menu as the items on their menu were only $5. They had sandwich wraps, burger and fried, giant cheese waffle fries, salads. And for an extra $5, you can have a sundae to go along with your meal. Of course the drink comes with the basic $5 meal. I ordered the large salad, that had hard boiled egg slices, chicken cutlet slices, tomatoes, and various vegetables and lettuce with a ranch dressing. I thought it was great tasting. But the main reason I came to Friendly's was to try their new Pumkin Pie ice cream flavor. It really did taste like Pumpkin pie as it also had bits of grahm crackers in it. I chose to have the melted marshmallow topping and it was good. At first it tasted like egg nog, but when the spices kicked it, it began to taste like Pumpkin Pie. Wow, Friendly's sure does come up with some really cool ice cream desserts. I also sometimes enjoy going there for breakfast as I love their pancakes and bacon, with various flavors of syrup to top your pancakes with. It's a great place to eat. I do have to admit that I did give my waitress a high 5 for making such a good meal, but she also gave me a wink upon convincing me to go for the full meal that came with dessert as I was already spending close to 10 dollars.
