On my last trip to Friendly's, everything was great, including the service. I really enjoyed their toasted sandwich that was a miniature Philadelphia cheesesteak, a very yummy and tasty thing to eat.
I've noticed that one of the waitresses or women working behind the counter had smiled and winked at me. Maybe she was being friendly, or flirty. Afterwards, when I left, she was outside smoking and wanted to know if I enjoyed the meal and if everything was good. I said the meal and everything was fine thank you. I'm sure she's just being friendly, but she probably is already married, or has a boyfriend and a few kids of her own.

Friendly's satisfied my hunger
This afternoon, I walked to the bus stop and waited for the bus. It wasn't a very long walk, but it was a little chilly. Afterwards, it was suddenly that I was hit with this strong hunger as if I hadn't eaten in a long time, well since breakfast anyway. I was really, really hungry and felt weak, a little light headed and needed some food. When the bus finally came to pick us all up, I couldn't wait to get to Friendly's, and finally I was there and got off. I was relieved to get inside and sat down at a booth table. For lunch, I got one of the their juicy and moist burgers with onion rings, tomatoes and lettuce on it, with a side order of fries. Then after saying a little prayer of thanks, I just dug in. The bun for the burger was huge as well as the burger itself. It took two hands for me to pick up that bad boy and took a big bite out of it. It was soooo good, and the side order of fries was great as well. To drink, I got a lemonade and ice water. The best part of this meal was that it came with a happy ending sundae.
I was hoping that they would still have that delicious pumpkin pie ice cream, as it was a two scoop sundae. The waitress told me that they are all out of that flavor and she agreed that it was really, really good. So my choice of ice cream was a scoop of resses peanut butter cup, and a scoop of forbidden fudge with hot fudge topping, whipped cream and a cherry. Let me tell you that hit the spot and it was a very sweet ending to that wonderfull meal. And the whole thing costed me about $13. Not a bad price, and I felt soo much better afterwards. Thanks Friendly's.

Start your mornings with Friendly's breakfasts
It's often a wonderful treat, whenever I go to Friendly's for breakfast. Mostly, I often enjoy Pancakes with fruit on top and whip cream, sausages or bacon, and a glass of milk and orange juice. But everyone usually enjoys other breakfast meals there. Some people might get eggs, or special egg breakfast sandwiches with toast. But other people usually enjoy french toast, or wafflels. Whatever you enjoy eating for breakfast, Friendly's has it. Years ago, they had a promotional all you can eat buffet for breakfast on Sunday mornings only for one low price. I found out that was a great way to have breakfast if you just can't decide on what you want. So you just filled up your plate with a little bit of everything. And if you feel old fashioned, I'm sure they have hot oatmeal and coffee and tea. It's always a great place to eat with Friendly service and great food.

Something new is at Friendly's
Guess What? The Friendly's by us now has a prize crane machine. For only $1.00 per chance, you could get lucky and win one of those really soft and plush stuffed animals they have in there. But it's often very hard to win those, as it takes alot of skill.

a cool buttery idea for Friendly's
I think for a fun thing, that if you order pancakes, or french toast, that they should offer butter that comes in a squeezable tube. This way, the kids could have fun drawing on their pancakes and or french toast with the butter. I remember doing this as a kid a my grandparents house whenever he served us pancakes for breakfast.

Get the new scoop on Friendly's new edible soup bowls
I just ate at Friendly's in Delco Plaza, and believe it or not, they are scooping more than ice cream. I had tried their new edible bread bowl platter, which comes with a salad. The bread bowl is made from a Sourdough roll, where the center is scooped out and filled with your choice of soup or chilli. I chose the chilli and it was very good. Friendly's does come up with some original meals and they are all good. Afterwards, the waitress had convinced me to add $4.00 to the meal to get a 3 scoop sundae for dessert.
While waiting for my meal, I asked the waitress for an extra placemat, as I enjoyed drawing. I drew a picture of one of my dinosaur characters to help pass the time, while I waited for my meal to come. I was starving, and finally my meal came I enjoyed it all. Afterwards, I thought I was going to explode after eating the soup bowl as I was very full. But there's no sense in letting good dessert go to waste. Friendly's makes the best ice cream, and my sundae consisted of a scoop of Reeses Peanut butter cup, Cookies and cream, and Forbidden Chocolate. For a topping I chose hot fudge and melted marshmallow. Ohhhh it was very good and now I was too full to get up out of my seat. But after awhile of sitting down to rest up, I managed to pay my bill and slowly walked out as I told my feet to do it's thing and just keep walking to get home.
I love to eat at Friendly's and I'd eat there more often if I wasn't so busy.

Fear of Losing Friendly's
I just found out in the Town Crier that a new hamberger fast food restaurant is opening up in our area called Smash Burger.
Supposedly, by the photos of the place from their website, it looks like a typical fast food restaurant, only they make their burgers special. I know that there is alot of competition, but I hope that the Friendly's in our area doesn't close down as a result of the huge success of Smash Burger. I already had gone throught some upsessions of my favorite places closing down, and Friendly's is one of my all time favorite places to eat. They have friendly service, great food, and very delicious ice cream. Beforehand, Friendly's was only located in Plainview, but they closed it's doors and was not seen in our area for years.
Strange as it may sound, I once had a dream about this a very long time ago, as when Smashburger opened up, it was soo popular that it was listed in the paper that because of the competition of Smashburger, Freindly's is going to close it's location. Although this was only a dream I had and it probably will never happen, it just may seem more of a coicedence. I think that it's probably going to open up at a place that used to be Hi Yah! a Japanese restaurant. That place used to be that all you can eat chinese Buffet, but closed due to several health violations. Before that, I think it was the Light House restaurant, as I remember eating there when we first went to the area to check out a house to move into. But I stand corrected as there is a little shopping center on the same block past the church. There is a Starbucks and a store for car merchansise. There's an enmpty store or two within that little shopping area, and I think that's where it's more likely to open up instead of the Hi-Yah! Japanese restaurant.
